The Onigiri Society

Onigiri is Japan’s fast food, slow food, and soul food. Since 2014, the Onigiri Society has worked from Kamakura, Japan to share onigiri and the culture behind it with the world, together with municipalities and companies across the country.

Our Philosophy

The Onigiri Society has articulated a definition of onigiri, a five-point declaration, and a seventeen-article charter that express how we understand and pass on this food culture.
